The VoiceGuard consortium officially launched its activities during the Kick-Off Meeting held from the 9th to the 10th July 2025 in Madrid. Representatives from all partner institutions gathered to set the strategic direction for the project and to coordinate the work that will unfold over the coming months.

Over the two-day meeting, all work packages were discussed with each partner presenting their initial plans and ideas regarding the actions that will shape this early phase of the project. More constructive discussions followed on the structure of the work packages, with all partners contributing with ideas and good practices. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) were also jointly reviewed and updated, aligning the consortium on expectations and quality standards. All of these discussions and decisions will ensure a smooth and effective collaboration between consortium members.

With the groundwork being established, VoiceGuard moves into its research phase. This next stage will focus on conducting the needs analysis and skills related to the whistleblowing support systems in the participating countries. In parallel, several internal documents related to management, coordination, evaluation, and overall organization will be shared among partners to support efficient implementation.

We wrapped up the meeting in such a great mood! Every partner showed enthusiasm and commitment to the project’s vision. Leaving Madrid, we’re feeling inspired and confident that VoiceGuard is on track to make a real impact and bring fresh insights to the field.
